Myint Swe was born in 1956 in the Rakhine State in the Western part of Burma. He studied at the State School of Fine
Arts in Rangoon from 1975 to 1977 and graduated from Rangoon University in 1981. His way of expression is sometimes realistic,
other times semi-abstract or totally abstract. Myint Swe's paintings at times depict scenes from daily life such as love and
market action, but his main focus is on the changing society in Burma, and in particular the development in Rangoon with respect
to the city and its people. Myint Swe often conveys his views in forms of symbols or in an abstract way so the visitor may
interpret the paintings at various levels. He is the leader of the Vision Art Group and has participated in more than forty
art exhibitions, including in Thailand (1999, 2001, 2002) and Singapore (2001), and his works were recently purchased by the
National Art Gallery, Malaysia and the National Museum of Myanmar (Burma) for their permanent collection. Myint Swe
took part in the international show Identities vs Globalization in 2004 at the Chiang Mai Art Museum, National Gallery of
Thailand and Dahlem Museum in Berlin. Please contact us for a complete biograpy of Myint Swe and a catalogue of other available paintings.

Summer (2005) by Pham An Hai

| "Summer" (2005) by Pham An Hai - click on photo for larger view |
Pham An Hai has long established himself as one of the leading abstract painters in Vietnam. With vibrant color
schemes, powerful lines, and a rich surface texture, his works have a distinct masterful style of color, form, and composition.
Despite being nonrepresentational, Pham's paintings are intended to evoke concrete physical or emotional landscapes, such
as the Summer landscape of this work. Originally a realistic painter specializing in portraits, he also produced series
of picturesque impressionistic views of Hanoi's graceful French colonial architecture. Following a traumatic 1997 road accident
that left him hospitalized for two months and resulted in the loss of one eye, he re-examined the authenticity of his artistic
vision. He devloped an attraction to the intensity and deep integrity of Western abstractionist artists. At first
only personal experiments in expressing inner thoughts and emotions, abstract expressionism work became his dominant style
from 1998 on. His work turned from representing nature toward examining the inner life. Pham An Hai was born in
Hanoi in 1967, and comes from a family of artists. His wife and brother are also prominent contemporary painters.
He holds a masters degree from the Hanoi University of Fine Arts, graduating at the top of his class. Please contact us for a complete biograpy of Pham An Hai and a catalogue of other available paintings.

Jessica Scriver is a young artist in Burlington, Vermont. With a background in biology, her work is inspired
by the colors, textures, and forms of nature: the fissures of marble and granite, the shapes and shadows of outer space, the
pigments of an undersea environment, or the hidden world of microscopic creatures. She typically paints in acrylic,
often incorporating textural elements such as sand, yarn, glass lenses, or encaustic wax. EarthDeco is currently exhibiting
14 of Jessica's works, all of which are available for purchase, with prices ranging from $410 to $1440. Please click here to link to all of the works on exhibit.
