Bronze Candlestick - Tall
EarthDeco's fine bronze sculptures are created with lost-wax casting, an ancient method
that dates back to 3500 BC Mesopotamia, reaching Southeast Asia in 1200 BC and Europe in 500 BC. Each design is first
hand sculpted out of a solid block of wax. A clay mold is then formed around the wax sculpture, and once the clay is
dry, the wax is melted out of the mold. Molten bronze is then hand-poured into the mold, and once cooled, the mold is
broken off around the finished bronze sculpture. Imperfections are carefully corrected, and the sculpture is gently
poished. Because each wax piece is carved by hand and each mold used only once, each of our bronze sculptures is a unique
work of art. No two pieces of the same design are strictly identical. And because they are cast as a single piece
with no seems or welds, they are more durable and solid, more highly prized, and of course more beautiful than commercially
cast bronzes. This listing is for the Tall candlestick (shown on right in photo).
